How...how do you know if someone likes you? I mean, I know there are different kinds of 'love', but...how can you tell? How do you know if you 'love' someone? If you do, how would you tell them? Would you, if you weren't...sure you'd see them again?

I don't know how you tell if someone else likes you, but I think I realized I liked someone because being with him made me happy, even if we were just doing something really simple like walking to school or something, and because I really worry about him - I want him to be safe and happy and do all in life that he wants to, and I'd do anything to make that happen. [This isn't saying much, considering Mikuru would martyr herself for a sandwich.]

Not that my friends don't make me happy and I don't want that for my friends too, but it's different... More intense... I want to hold hands with him, and everything else, too! [Well, maybe not everything else; she's just too embarrassed to admit she wants to kiss someone. Even though he's not even here to read this.]

I was trying to figure out if he liked me too before I told him... But if I'd known I wouldn't see him again for ages, I definitely would have told him.

Hm. I--think I get it. Sort of... More intense? [She knows she feels for Flynn differently than Mother, and differently than Pascal, it's figuring out what this means, if it is this...'love' thing that she's not sure on, exactly.] I did have fun with him, once he started to like me, at least...I think he did.

What was it that made you think he likes you?

Well....um, he...seems to like me more than when we first met, at least. And told me....uh, secrets. That he says would ruin his reputation. He made the day I spent in Corona so fun. And he seemed sort of protective when we were being chased.

He..definitely opened up more, told me secrets, and listens to me. [Actually listens, properly, not like Mother who interrupts and belittles her.]

Usually one of two things happens....he's really nice to you, or he's really mean to you. Usually if he's mean to you, he hasn't reach maturity yet.

I...I think I do? I mean, I didn't so much at first, but now....he's done a lot for me.
