Dude, I'm sayin'!

How is me saying that ME going natural was liberating and I love it and will never go back to straightening somehow an indictment on what someone else wants to do with the hair on THEIR head?

That shit was like me saying, "I'm going to start working out because I'm gaining weight, have less energy and my knees hurt all the time," and having someone come back with "Are you calling me FAT?!" when I was not even TALKING about them.

The thing is, the chick accused ME of getting defensive when she was the one who pole vaulted to the above conclusions and basically tried to ridicule what she assumed were my feelings and motivations. I told her to remember to pack her chute next time she jumped to conclusions.

Honestly, I'm beginning to wonder if permies want you to praise their decision and denigrate your own to go natural. I can't explain the vitriol to just saying, "I went natural and I love it" any other way.

She has internal issues and isn't happy with HER choice. I've been both, currently relaxed, years down the line may go natural again. It's all hair. Who the fluck cares? She needs to go sit down somewhere.
