I'm getting REALLY TIRED of certain friends hiding behind the excuse of "well we just don't call anyone, it's what we do." So, I went through this the few months after your wife left for Japan. I suddenly had *no* friends call me. I had them starting campaigns without me, they went out to eat without me. All of it. I was always hurt. Always.
And then I said fuck it. It doesn't matter what I put into the friendship or what they put in. Sure, I have to call them and make the plans, but they put up with my shit when I bring it. We all deal with eachother's issues as they come. The 'not calling' issue seems to be the big one in your friends. Ha. Mine too. But, fuck it. Keep in mind that everyone puts up with bullshit from others. So chalk that up to bullshit.
I don't mean to lecture. (You, right now: "Then don't.") But I don't want you to go through the hell I did. That's all.
BTW, let the wiffer know that I got tickets for Urinetown. She can pay me some or none. I don't care. I owe her a ticket or two for the bullshit I've pulled =P.
