Week 16: “When is a monster not a monster? Oh, when you love it."

Apr 01, 2016 15:43

Little Oedipus has wandering yellow eyes
that peer out of a smeared Picasso like
face.

Little abstract calico cat,
Your nerves push against your painted surface
But still
You are as stiff as a stone gargoyle

Stuck up on a concrete roof.

I love the idea of a stuck kitty as gargoyle! What a great twist on the prompt. I especially liked the line about the "smeared Picasso like face." It was very evocative.
