Oh, how wonderful! This is so lovely, and combines both my favorite lyrics from Closer to Fine with a beautiful glimpse of adoration and the Gryffindor bravery required to acknowledge it. The sense of "they got the two of us mixed up" is a great under-question -- that mind tug of the Sorting Hat really isn't ever wrong... was a constant throughout the piece, and gave the surface simplicity extra depth.

Mystery-writer said "This is more innocent then I usually write". I think "innocent" is infinitely more difficult to write than a piece with a high maturity rating; every word counts doubly when there's no distraction of raciness or explicit detail to keep a reader moving the scroll bar. Seeing that challenge well-executed is why I love gen-fic as much as I do -- and this piece in particular.
