This was sad and real and perfect. I've never read anything quite as quietly compelling and tumultuous as this, like the emotions come upon you when you're not ready for them and they cling to you. The sadness clings to your bones like the aches do when it rains.

So I suppose I would describe this as a quiet sort of sadness. I'm glad I read this.
