women sentenced in accident that killed 7

A judge sentenced a woman whose car rear-ended another vehicle, killing seven people on Highway 118 in 2005, to three years' probation Tuesday.

Ventura County Superior Court Judge Charles McGrath said it wouldn't be appropriate to give jail time to Ashley Marie Ponce, 25. The probation will include 350 hours of community service.

I think that she should have showed more remorse for what she did but that her sentence was fair. She was not drunk. She was not speeding much, if any. She was not driving like a complete asshole, she just wasn't as careful as she could have been. But she definitely didn't do anything that anyone would think could kill seven people. I've probably accidentally done worse things that would've killed people if a car had been there, but definitely not on purpose.
