RP - Team Dinner
When he and Daniel first came up with the idea of a team dinner, Jack debated actually making reservations for some fancy restaurant. SG-1 hadn’t been out together since Ba’al’s extraction ceremony and it was probably the sort of thing where you should have white table clothes and snooty waiters. Luckily, he quickly got over that impulse and went with one of his old favorites the Phantom Canyon Brewing Company. It had all of Jack’s requirements for a good night out, good beer, good steak and pool. He really didn’t need more than that and he knew neither did anyone else in SG-1. It was on the Pentagon’s dollar too.
It took awhile, and a lot of phone calls but Jack finally managed to get everyone to agree on a date and time. Before anything could come up, he made the reservations and told his assistant to keep the date clear even if she had to threaten people. By some minor miracle, nothing came up. He was actually able to make it out to Colorado and make the reservation.
Sitting at the head of the table - he’d just gotten used to sitting there - Jack sat back in the chair with a glass of beer pleased with himself and the dinner even though it hadn’t officially happened yet. He knew that people would start to trickle in, though SG-1 would most likely come in as a group. He was even looking forward to seeing Sheppard, who usually proved entertaining. Jack planned to ignore McKay as best he could. It was going to be a good relaxing night, just what the Major General ordered.
[ooc: What I would suggest for this is that everyone invited leaves a comment about them arriving, finding Jack and a seat and then if people want to have conversations between characters they reply to that character's comment. Jack will reply to everyone, even McKay, lol.]
