So, I'm sitting at home when I really should be at work (this could be seens as a good thing I 'spose) - I'm at home because my car wouldn't start this morning.  NRMA out, changed the battery and shared with me the happy news that I need a new alternator.  Oh joy.....

That's a fairly common occuance.

it happened to my old car. it basically just cut out and then wouldn't start any more. I installed a reconditioned one. Try the wreckers or something like that. OR you could just get a new on.

damn... I just cant get out of the old Lada way of thinking. :)
