[The water tribe boy has finally entered stage two of Measels-- he's got a nasty red rash spreading from his neck, very slowly outward.

[Hiccup stares at his comm for a few seconds before snapping his sketchbook shut and throwing himself off his bed.

Sokka sounds sick.

SICK IS NOT GOOD.

Sick is never, never, ever good.

Thanks to some clever thinking on Sokka's part--obviously, done before any of the punishing went down--Hiccup doesn't have to rely on the Sicky to answer the door. He just bursts on in and survey's the damage.]

[And there he is, miss america sitting on the floor, his knees drawn to his chest, leaning heavily against the side of his bed. His hair is trying to make a mad escape from the confines of his ponytail. The flush of the fever is hard to see on his tan skin, but the sweat is obvious-- as is the red rash that has overtaken most of his face and shoulders. At the sound of his name he gives something like a cough and a shudder at once.]

Hiccup?

[He tries to clear his throat to speak up, but he wraps his arm around his face and coughs violently into his elbow. He leans against the bed again, eyes shut tight for a second before scratching at his face again.]

After standing stunned in the doorway, momentarily overwhelmed by his own self preservation instincts, Hiccup pushes forward and kneels next to his friend wiiith some great hesitation.

Holy crap, that rash looks nasty.]

Sokka, h-how'd, uh...

You--you know what? Don't try to talk. You sound like...

Gods, you sound really sick, so just, uh, don't. Rest! Rest.

...Gods, he loves you man, but he can't exactly help the deep rooted fear for infection. His tribe kinda hasn't figured out dick about medicine past, like, 'oh, walk it off.']

[Hiccup, have you ever put your hand against a glass you thought was supposed to have delicious, ice cold ale and it turned out to be scalding hot coffee? That's Sokka's forehead. Realistically, the fever isn't as bad as it's going to get. Sokka opens his eyes again and focuses unevenly at a spot on the floor.]

...pretty bad for a punishment, I think. This-- all, started...

[She's still so upset. And angry. And so unfortunately itchy. She knows why, but she's done everything she's been taught to get rid of the disgusting problem but.. Nothing's working. Thinking about it makes her stomach roil.

But this post, at first she thought it was just Sokka being funny, goofing around with his friends. But she heard that cough and hack. The distraction is terrible, but it works. She grabs her comm and flips it on.]

Sokka, what happened? Are you alright?

Sick. M'in trouble for punching Zuko, I think? He made me really sick.

[He finishes with a sniffle.]

[He had mentioned Sokka's name on the list after all...] Do... you want me to come over?
