Columbus marathon

I do understand that any issues I have post-race/with running in general are self-inflicted so I try not to complain, but Ashley, her boyfriend John, and I did a half marathon last Sunday and I'm still tired. I trained very well for it, and ran most of it, until I got a little wheezy at mile 9ish, and now I'm pooped. The rule of thumb is the same ( Read more... )

Look at that sweet baby!

I've been considering trying Blue Apron...do you get points (or whatever) for referring people?

No, no points for referrals. They have a lot of vegetarian recipes, I do know that. What I really like is if you need one carrot, they send one carrot. There's no waste. Three meals a week, for either two people or four. The portions are just right, and if only one person is eating, you'd have leftovers. And then you can quit anytime. The ingredients are locally sourced, so they're pretty fresh. My only complaint is the excess packaging, but most of it is recyclable. It's working for me right now because it's so easy and I don't have to think. It's very zen to just follow a recipie without any thought!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe how much he's grown! I was just thinking of you the other day and wondering how you and your family were doing. Goodness, you've been keeping busy. And congrats on becoming a Gramma again! If only they were closer!
I'm a Gramma now too, my oldest had a wee boy, Bodhi, three months ago.. So far, loving the whole journey.
Good to hear from you, hope you continue to feel better and good for you for giving up sugar! I've just started to try that myself, and it's amazing how much better one feels!
Take care, and again, glad to see you doing well.

Congratulations on being a grandma. I had no idea it would be so awesome. If you missed my previous post, Erin is pregnant again. WITH TWINS. I keep having to capslock that. :)

After we ran the race last week, I thought, hey, I ran a half marathon. I can have some candy corn. Big mistake. It's taken me a whole week to stop wanting more sugar. It's amazing how much I don't want it when I stop eating it. Good luck with that.

Hahaha! I did see that! I guess the odds were in her favor, but still, I'd bet it was a bit of a shock! How exciting for you all.
Yeah, sugar is crazy addictive. One taste and the craving is so overwhelming. I hope to do better after Halloween. ;/
Being Bodhi's 'Nana' is so much fun. I'd forgotten how wonderfull it is to see that wee person be so delighted to see you. Brings back a lot of memories. :)

He's so big. Look at him, standing like a boss. With his little shoes! Ca-ute! Also, congrats! Can't believe Erin's having twins, but I guess it runs in the family, huh?

That's a lot of work being done on your house. I do hope there's some end in sight.

But my goodness, look at Seb. He's so big now.
