I do understand that any issues I have post-race/with running in general are self-inflicted so I try not to complain, but Ashley, her boyfriend John, and I did a half marathon last Sunday and I'm still tired. I trained very well for it, and ran most of it, until I got a little wheezy at mile 9ish, and now I'm pooped. The rule of thumb is the same

I'm a Gramma now too, my oldest had a wee boy, Bodhi, three months ago.. So far, loving the whole journey.
Good to hear from you, hope you continue to feel better and good for you for giving up sugar! I've just started to try that myself, and it's amazing how much better one feels!

After we ran the race last week, I thought, hey, I ran a half marathon. I can have some candy corn. Big mistake. It's taken me a whole week to stop wanting more sugar. It's amazing how much I don't want it when I stop eating it. Good luck with that.

Yeah, sugar is crazy addictive. One taste and the craving is so overwhelming. I hope to do better after Halloween. ;/
Being Bodhi's 'Nana' is so much fun. I'd forgotten how wonderfull it is to see that wee person be so delighted to see you. Brings back a lot of memories. :)
