SO friday night, I get out of work early.. Friday was a waste of a day, I had worked myself so caught up that even pretending to be busy was harder work than actually finding work. Spent the last few minutes reminding myself what I need to do next week, then called it a week...

"Casanova" is nothing like "Libertine," except for both featuring hot leading actors, and being period pieces. "Casanova" is quite a lot of fun, with a good sense of humor. I haven't actually seen "Libertine" yet, but I heard it was very dark.

It was good to see you, too! We should definitely do that more often... There's a waterpark right by my house that needs exploring, and I'd be willing to set up the grill for a cookout afterward...

... I can safely tell you that Casanova, while still featuring a lead character that is overimpressed with the contents of his own trousers, is very different than the ... well, more debaucherous Libertine. It's plot is more amusing, sex is handled much more delicately, and the feeling you come away with is more what you'd expect of a mainstream film (especially one with Heath Ledger and Oliver Platt).

You're far more likely to enjoy Casanova. Watch it. Ledger's hot.

funny. Dana and I got both of those movies on netflix a few weeks ago. The Libertine is a lot darker and more gritty. Compared to that Casanova is almost Disneyish by comparison. Fun but not at all serious as a period depiction. I was a bit bored with it though.
