Katie looked down at him. Her hot tears streaming down her cheeks, dribbling off her chin and falling to Jack's bare skin. He blurred in her vision as a fresh well of tears spilled over at the clear sight of his wound. The pattern continued, she would cry and then see him more clearly as she calmed herself and cry again.

You made Katie so vulnerable in this piece - so open to pain and being rejected but wanting to share herself with Jack fearing this might be their last encounter. A tender scene.
