Next time some person tries to unload their crap, I mean secrets, on you tell them to buy a fucking diary.
You see thats why friends like me are good because I yell at my cat because he knocks off all my paperwork from my desk, and he scares me and he tries to jump into the toilet. And my kids yell at me.
I don't really have any secrets to unload either, I have drama but its kind of fun in that bad I hate it way.

i'm not SORRY that people confide in me, but i feel bad that I just stare at them like, "huh?! what?!" and then smile and excuse myself to the washroom and never go back. Makes me feel like an asshole. also, I'm always tempted to tell everyone everything, so it's a real test for my willpower. fuuuccckkk!

I'm glad that you are not pregnant, and not breaking up engagements. Your life is not pathetic. Also, I think you are smart, but how on earth can you help people you don't even know? You can't begin to understand how they are inside and what best to tell them. Besides, with people you know, you at least hear little scraps along the way and it's not some huge surprise just dumped on you like a load of angst.

You are right to feel it's unfair, because it is. I think it is also flattering in a way, but these people need to go get some help from a professional if they need to unload on someone they barely know.
