Wow, that fic was SO AMAZING. I’m genuinely awe-struck, seeing stars! Did you cross-post the thing to the Merlin/Gwen LJ? Everybody needs to see this. Every single scene is perfect, perfectly written and perfectly chosen. I love how sad this is, but also really satisfying and thoughtful and full of grace and still sweetly fraught.

My favorite, absolutely favorite line is: “and when Gwen half falls on his shoulder, when the tears prick at her eyes and grief reappears in her existence, like an old admirer, knocking at a heart and a body and a head and shoulders that cannot welcome it for fear of failing an entire kingdom.” WOW. This one is an immediate bookmark, bb. Something I’ll return to whenever I’m craving something gorgeous to read.

Sooooooooooooo perfect and BEAUTIFULLY written, ugh, I cannot. But whyyyyyy did you have to split them up at the end?? It was so agonising and amazing holy shit I loved it.
