POP: SANDS OF TIME - TIMELINE

Nov 14, 2010 06:16

Beforehand
- Kaileena, Empress of Time, creates the Dagger of Time and the Sands of Time (inside the Hourglass of Time).
- The Vizier comes along a lot later. After searching a long time for something to give him immortality, he finds all these Time-y artifacts. They steal it and bring it back to the palace of Azad; the Vizier had previously betrayed his old master, the Maharajah of India, to side with the Persian King.

Sands of Time
- En route to the Palace of Azad with his father and army, the Prince conquers the city of the Maharajah of India (for honour and glory) with the assistance of the Vizier from within, finding the Dagger of Time within. The Vizier tries to snatch it away when he returns with it but the King is all NO LET THE BOY HAVE HIS TROPHY. Vizier is all GRRR. Farah is all FUUU--
- They continue on to present the Hourglass to Azad. King Sharhaman presents the Hourglass of Time to the royalty of Azad. The Vizier tricks the Prince into opening the Hourglass with the Dagger, which releases the Sands of Time.
- As only carries of time artifacts can avoid corruption, this causes everyone except the Prince, Farah, and the Vizier to become sand monsters (due to their dagger, medallion, and staff). Shit is pretty lame.
- The Prince, sometimes accompanied by Farah, start making their way through the palace of Azad to get to the very top of a tower, where the Hourglass is being held. By reinserting the Dagger into the Hourglass, they can revert the damage done and return things to as they were.
- Upon returning to the throne room, the Prince has to face his father (King Sharaman), turned into a sand monster. He kills him and feels horrible.
- Farah and the Prince grow closer, coming to truly care for each other through their banter and bickering.
- He doesn't quite trust her, however, and when they confront the Vizier the first time, he hesitates to question Farah's motives. The Vizier takes the advantage and strikes them down, sending them tumbling a long way down into a tomb without light. They have a long talk there, and Farah tells him of her magic word - "kakolookiyam" - which is meant to open a door when all seems lost. Farah had never, ever told anyone of this before.
- Sexy dream sequence where they swim together and the Prince goes through a lot of doors. When he wakes up, his dagger and sword have been stolen by Farah, who ran on ahead- she left him her medallion so he isn't affected by the Sands of Time. Prince finds a new sword and chases after her.
- Despite his best efforts, Prince is too late. Farah falls to her death from the top of the tower, slain by the Vizier. Overcome with grief and rage, he makes his way to the top of the Hourglass of Time despite the Vizier's protests, driving the Dagger into its keyhole.
- The Sands are locked back into the Hourglass of Time, reversing all the events of the game, and the Prince awakens in his tent, the evening before their attack on the Maharajah's kingdom with Dagger still in hand. He hurries through the forest towards the palace, clambering up the walls to come into Farah's room.
- Farah does not remember who he is, as none of it ever happened, but he tells the story of the whole game which takes until the late morning. Upon finishing, the Vizier shows up and reveals his evil intentions.
- Despite his magical powers, the Prince overcomes him, slaying him then and there and truly preventing all the horrors from happening. Done with this, he returns the Dagger to Farah, who is very surprised he could have this at all.
- As Prince is leaving, she asks what his name is. He simply responds "kakolookiyam", proving his story true.

Forgotten Sands

I'LL DO THIS ONE LATER

Warrior Within
- Farah apparently gave him an Amulet of Time which lets him keep using time powers. IDK man, he got it somewhere and they never really explain it.
- Shit is less than awesome right now. Due to the Prince averting his own death when he released the Sands, he has been relentlessly hunted for the past seven years by the Dahaka: despite having resealed the Sands, he was still supposed to die, and the Dahaka acts as the protector of the timeline to make sure this happens.
- The Prince seeks counsel from an old wise man who explains that whoever releases the Sands of Time must die. Because the Prince escaped his fate, it is the Dahaka's mission as guardian of the Timeline to ensure that he dies as he was meant to.
- The old man also tells of the Island of Time, where the Empress of Time first created the Sands. The Prince sets sail for the Island in an attempt to prevent the Sands from ever being created, an act he believes will appease the Dahaka.
- On the ship en route to the Island of Time, Prince's ship is attacked by another. It is captained by a league of sand monsters and one woman in black bikini armour: Shadhee, the Empress' assistant. Prince nearly triumphs in battle over her, but not without suffering a big slash to the face, and ends up having his entire ship sunk.
- He washes up on the shore of the Island of Time, his entire crew slain in the attack. Prince chases after, eventually catching up to her at a strange portal. Going through, he discovers that it transports him into the past, just a little while before the Sands of Time had been created. The next time he comes across Shadhee, she is attacking a woman in red- Prince slays Shadhee and saves the woman, who introduces herself as Kaileena.
- Unable to grant the Prince an audience with the Empress of Time, Kaileena instead tells him how to unlock the door to the throne room in which the Empress resides. Realising that if he can meet with the Empress and convince her not to create the Sands of Time, this should appease the Dahaka, the Prince sets off to activate the two towers.
