[ As the feed starts, the interior of the Cherrygrove Center can be seen behind Napoleon. He's still wearing his Napoléon I getup, but there's something missing as he moves from the reception counter. This something reappears on his shoulder in a flash of white light, and Joséphine stretches out looking fit as a fiddle. He now has himself a Meowth- ( Read more... )

Isn't the battling fun!? [Yuffie's grinning. She likes it when the new ones think this place might be cool, like she does.]

I haven't started on a gym run yet, but I'm playing camera monkey for one'a my friends whose doing it. Gym battles are A LOT of fun to watch! They're really, really intense.

Good luck! See if you can't get someone to film your battles, so all of us can see 'em.

[ As much as he was 'ehhhh' about it before, Napoleon ends up grinning back. He really has had fun while training Joséphine. ] Yeah, it is. I was kind of leery at first, but since Joséphine likes it I got used to it pretty quickly.

I'll take your word for it, and see if I can do something about getting someone to record them once I get to Violet City. But before then, I need to find an electric-type... [ He's definitely planning a strategy, ohhh yes. ]

[She laughs a little at Joséphine liking to fight.] I have a couple of Poekees that really like battling. Sneezey's just a bitch, so she'll attack anyone, Poekee or not. Leafy's pretty spunky though!

Electric-type for the birdy gym? [She looks thoughtful.] Hmmm.... I think you can find an electric sheep thing on Route 32 which is the other side of Violet City.

I think Franz would enjoy battling, but I'm just worried he's going to try and crash into my head again once I let him out. [ He's trying to remember what's what again, but pff he doesn't know the species anyways. ] I guess as long as you direct Sneezey towards an opponent, that'll come in handy.

Congratulations on the Pidgey capture!

Have you been able to settle in without too much trouble?

It could have been a little more interesting than a pigeon, but at least I didn't try to eat him. [ No, he's never going to let you live that down, France. ] Thank you, though.

So far, yes. The inn's fairly inexpensive, at least, but I'll probably... [ He's scratching his cheek a little sheepishly now. ] Look into getting a job while I'm here. Not that I've ever had one, but it can't be that difficult.

[Pout.]

It was a totally logical decision at the time!

[France huffs slightly before considering for a moment what he remembered of Cherrygrove before he fled it when the world became 2D.]

I think you could probably find work at the Pokémon Center, the PokéMart, or the local restaurant. They're actually pretty friendly about giving entry-level part-time work to non-locals.

[ Snicker. ]

At the time.

[ Well that would be an interesting story to hear, but Napoleon just considers his options. ]

Good to hear it, as strange as this'll be. But if I'm going to be staying here for a few days to check out the weather, then I have to cover my expenses somehow. I just don't know what, exactly, would be the best option.

[Anew's now walking towards the center, the dark circles under her eyes are still very visible. Battling and catching a wild pokemon that woke you up in the middle of the night is exhausting

She's not aware that there'ss somebody in her way till she finds herself crashing against him]

Ah![Her sleepy eyes are trying to focus, she takes a step behind when she realizes what happened]Oh my god! I'm so sorry!, I must have been too tired to notice you were there, sir.

[ It doesn't help that Napoleon's looking down at his PokéGear, though Joséphine did try to alert him by pushing at his face with a paw. He just figured she was being playful. ]

Hrk-- [ Though he nearly drops his 'Gear when Anew bumps into him, his hands lift up to make sure she doesn't fall over afterward. ]

That's all right, miss. I wasn't watching where I was going either. [ He quickly gives her a once-over with his eyes to make sure she's fine, but no harm in asking too. ] You okay?

[Anew's sight is still blurry, and she thinks she's going crazy when she sees the shape of a cat's head over a man's shoulders

Damn it! Wake up Anew!she shakes her head in an attempt to focus on reality, but then she gets the surprise that there's really a cat over the man's shoulders, the sight is quite funny, but then she notices something familiar on the man's features

What the...?

She's about to ask, but then Anew notices that he's not him and she can't stop the wave of dissappoint that runs through her and makes it's mark on her sad, sleepy face] I'm okay sir

[She's only okay in the physical sense, but her heart it's not]I..I' didn't hurt you, didn't I?

[ Joséphine lets out a worried nyaa to echo her trainer's concern, though neither of them understand the look of disappointment that joins the apparent exhaustion. If he knew that he had a resemblance to yet another person, he wouldn't know what to do with himself.

But oblivious as he is, he only offers her a light smile in his attempt to reassure her. ]

No, you didn't. But are you sure you're okay? [ Stubborn as he is, he wants to make sure she really is all right. ] You look exhausted.

Hello Napoleon, it's good to see you made it safely.

I remember I promised to treat you for some soup, I should be free by eight is that time fine?

Good to be off Route 29. I don't think I'm partial to camping, at least not in winter.

Eight sounds fantastic, as does that soup. You're the best, Lion.

Let's meet at the inn then, I'll see you later.

[And around seven fifty Lion will be waiting at the inn, puntual, as always.]

See you then. [ A mock salute to see Lion off, before they hang up.

When it gets closer to eight, Joséphine comes down the stairs and into the lobby before her owner. The Meowth recognizes the blond right off and goes to Lion (sry Lion) as Napoleon himself appears and follows, having changed. ]

It's nice to meet you in person. [ Even if he still has no idea what your gender is. He smiles, though. ] How's Cherrygrove been treating you?

Pidgey, huh? I didn't have trouble with them when I first arrived, but I did run into a bunch of wild Rattata. Lucky for me I was traveling with a group, so we were able to fend them off, aru.

[A somewhat relaxed smile comes onto his face.] I think I've had more than enough battle experiences already, being a soldier and all, aru. So, I've taken the path of a breeder.

Joséphine managed to scare quite a few of them off just by being out of her pokéball, but there were a few that were gutsy enough to attack. Some Rattata, too, but we didn't run into ... groups of them like we did flocks of Pidgey.

[ He nods, rubbing at his Meowth's ears as she gets comfortable on his shoulders. ] I can understand that. You'll be able to learn a lot more about pokémon being a breeder, right?

Rattata tend to be more agressive than the Pidgey, at least the ones that attacked my group seemed to be that way, aru. [Oh, he remembers how France had screamed when the purple rats came charging at them in the dark.]

Yes, but I'm sure you would learn just as much about pokemon as a trainer, aru. Either way, we create bonds with them and they show us their distinct personalities.

I'd noticed that most Pidgey seemed timid in comparison to the Rattata. Even the Sentret things, though I saw less of those than I did anything else. [ Please tell him embarrassing stories about his new country, he greatly enjoys picking on him. ]

It's funny that the pokémon have more distinct personalities than the locals. [ Sarcastically funny, anyways. ] But that just makes the pokémon more interesting.
