in the sense of: seeking for another person to make you feel whole and the inevitable disappointment in finding that they can't, and possibly leaving someone who is good for you as a result of believing that they must not be the "one", repeat until you die unhappy or realize that it's a fairy tale and settle down perfectly happy with someone when you accept that each of you are individuals who must love their SELF to feel whole

yes but how many actually realize they need to love themselves. in fact, i believe one is able to put up walls to protect oneself from their own personality.

alot of perseverance, would it be worth it in the end i wonder? love for thought and celibacy that could rule above all! i'm sure many have succeeded and are happy..

a valid point, but I fail to see how the rarity of it is an argument against pursuing it. I completely agree that people put up walls to protect themselves from themselves, I think it's very common. But again, I don't see how it negates the truth of happiness being an internal event.

Absolutely and without question, I speak from personal experience. This path is the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life, without compare by FAR the most rewarding, speechlessly so, I am a completely different and far more content and whole person because of it. Love for thought breeds unhappiness, thought is the very thing that misleads you into believing that there is something preventing you from being happy.
