Anyone else been asked if they've read The da Vinci Code? I seem to get it a lot lately. It's ridiculous. People will read that then try to compare it to the Bible, but they won't read the Bible ( Read more... )

Yeah I saw a documentry on it the whole therory is pretty farfetched in my opinion but I wouldn't read the book, as you said it's another way satan muddles peoples thinking. I remember a talk at the International convention by Bro Leet(?)(I can't remember now) about even if your curious best to stay away because you wouldn't eat garbage just to see what it tastes like :P

In the supermarkets where my brother and sisnlaw live.
We have seen this book called "Revelations"
It has creatures on the front that look like what is
in our literature but different. made from "The Good News".
We've come to the conclusion it is Apostate Literature.
So we do NOT go anywhere near it now, and warned some of our friends about it.
okay thats all, gotta go allergies are buggin me.

I've actually read the prequel to The DaVinci Code (entitled Angels and Demons. Don't worry, there are no angels and no demons in the book at all) which has absolutely nothing to do with the farfetched theories in the second one. I really have no desire to read the The DaVinci Code it really makes no sense to me, but if you want action, adventure, suspense and mystery, Angels and Demons is a pretty good read and fast paced. It touches a little on Catholic customs and they're insepcting artifacts in the Vatacin (sp?) and various Catholic churches for clues to the mystery, but other than that it's pretty safe.

But The DaVinci Code? I'm not willing to listen to worldly philosophies on what they think the Bible really says when they won't even read it.
