I think it's fair to note that in the second OVA, Nuriko's reincarnated as a girl who still crushes madly on Hotohori. I believe he's the only one that is born again as the "wrong" sex.

I have always just thought of Nuriko as bisexual. It didn't seem like all that big of an issue when I was watching the show. Of course, I was all about him getting with Hotohori, but then he had to go and be all heroic and get himself killed by ugly psycho beast boy. Gnnr.

Nuriko's "manliness" only really popped up during his short stint with less hair. I am happy you're going to play him as he is for the majority of the series, although I am also hoping that the manly side will pop up once in a while when he's actually being *snerk* serious.

Gosh, so happy tobe surrounded by HotoNuri shippers ;; and yeah, I think back in the day, the main issue was that FY fandom was full of Mary Sues who would rather Nuriko was straight and single than, well, interested in Hotohori or Miaka or Tasuki or whathaveyou. XD;
