Making Mountains-of-Suck out of Molehills (also of suck)

Unfortunate fact: I am sick.  Not too surprising, that.  It's been miserably cold and rainy these past few days.  When I get cold and wet, I get sick.  My immune system isn't.  The crappy part is that I picked up two extra shifts for Thursday and Friday mornings.  I showed up on Thursday to find that I was going to be outside for most of the day, ( Read more... )

Oh no! I'm sorry you are sick, and that you locked your keys in the car while it was running. Years ago I was on a trip with a friend once and she locked her keys in the car at a truck stop. It was a Sunday and a holiday so every place was closed. The sight of a helpless young woman in tears was enough to send every guy at the truck stop running for a coat hanger. Toyota Corollas are frighteningly easy to break into, as it turns out.

Hey, now that I am unemployed, we'll have to get together and hang out. I can tell you all about my crazy California adventure plans.

Well, now that I know how to do it, it shouldn't take me all that long. Provided I can find a coat hanger and something wedge in the doorjamb. I almost want to practice it again so I don't lose my touch, but I don't want to seriously fuck up the insulation.

I will give you a call.

I have several copies of Gyromite. I bought them because some older copies of Gyromite are actually the japanese circuitboard connected to a Famicom to NES adapter inside of the cartridge, so if you get one of those you've got yourself a cheap Famicom adapter. Unfortunately, none of the carts I bought had an adapter in it. I did spray paint one of them gold though.

You know, I never thought to look at the Japanese one. I do have a Famicom to NES adapter of my own, though my stash of Famicom games is pretty limited. Famicom choplifter is pretty tight.

I have had several people come to meijer looking for wire coat hangers to open their cars with only to be thwarted by the fact that we don't sell wire hangers in this modern age. I blame people poking out their eyes. And beating their children. And plastic being cheaper (I assume).

True, but you'll never be able to break into your car with a plastic coat hanger. As far as beating your children, that's why God made extension cords. And belts!
