The strangest thing happened to me yesterday.  As I was heading out for work, my car wouldn't start.  It just kept sputtering, trying its best to turn over but always falling a little short.  This, while unfortunate, is not strange, per se.  The strange part is that after I made my final attempt, begged and pleaded, and peppered the air with ( Read more... )

I don't know how it would have started without you knowing.

But I DO know that we fixed (knock on wood) the problem MY car was having starting by putting in that stuff that gets water out of the gas tank.

Since I've been putting that stuff in, I haven't had a single problem with my car not wanting to start.

Water out of a gas tank, you say? Tell me more...That sounds like it could be it. Or at least something to try.

My brother's have always called it "dry gas" but I've been finding it as Fuel Line Antifreeze or something. STP makes it, and there are a number of off brands. I usually will buy it in the gas station, near the other fluids they sell to put in your car. Dan found it cheaper at Meijer.

It's got a long skinny neck on it. The directions say to put in one full bottle when you fill your car up. Each bottle treats an average of 20 gallons or so.

This is what I'm talking about.

For two bucks or so, it's an easy fix. It can't hurt, right?
