I hurt real bad.  I was taking a shower on Friday and managed to step off the part of the bathtub that has the grip on it, and my feet went shooting out from under me.  I landed on the back of the tub straight-up on my ribcage.  Knocked the wind right out of me, leaving me choking for breath on the tub floor with no chance to react and no idea how

Your pain reminds me of how my ribs felt after the motorcycle accident. I forced the hospital to give me a second ultrasound/x-ray a week after because they hurt so badly. It turns out they were just bruised but "Bruised ribs can hurt worse than broken ones." I was told by the nurse.

Of course, the pain medication they gave me the second time turned out to be something I was allergic to, so not only did I have bruised ribs, but I was wearing a neck brace AND covered in itchy hives.

I hope you feel better soon. I almost fell in the shower this morning, as my bathmat is currently stuck to the wall of the shower. Not because I feel I need grip there, but because the dog had a bath on Sunday and I haven't replaced it yet. :)
