When we lived in Pennsylvania, we had a two story garage.  We decided to clean it one day.  We found several items of interest, one of which I still have. It is a magazine titled "The Designer."  The date is June, 1899.  It was, and still, fascinating reading.  Among the ads is one for using arsenic as a face bleach!  Yikes!    This is a sample of

It's really amazing seeing the prices for furniture, etc., but then I realize what wages were being paid.
