Covered by a magical veil, Harry was heading to John's apartment for a dinner and a yoga session. John had been waiting, and opened the door quickly.

Hopefully nobody in the village took them seriously enough to employ a bloodhound. He could smell the dishes, an aromatic cloud of spice.

He couldn't quite bring himself to disapprove, though, not when it made his stomach growl.

"Mister Dresden," he addressed the empty air once the door was shut and deadlocked. "Please, set down the food and unveil."

Harry put down several armloads worth of dinner on the kitchen counter, then walked back to John and unveiled.

"Hello."A huge smile sprawled across his face. "Good to see you."

He held out his arms.

John stepped into his open arms with grace and only thinly veiled eagerness, cupping Harry's chin with one hand and tilting it down for a firm, thorough kiss.

His other arm slid around Harry's back, pressing the wizard tightly against him.

And Harry kissed him back with no end of enthusiasm, savoring the feel of John's arm around him, the heat of another body pressed against his, the touch of the other man's skin, and the taste of John's mouth.

He pulled away for a moment to take a breath, cupping John's face in his hand. "John," he said softly, feeling as if he might burst from joy.
