14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
Me? Certainly not! Well, unless you count my coat and my hat that compel everyone who sees them to refer to the movie El Dorado, my hockey stick staff (which I am replacing, by the way), my habit of making bad puns mid-battle, and an absolute genius for driving bad guys and the Council alike crazy with my smart-assery. Other than that, I just blend right into the background.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.Boy, I'm never going to forget that one. It happened in Texas. I was about nine

My attitude toward sex can be summed up on four words: I don't do casual. Mind you, I've tried to do casual--I went through a period where I was sleeping with a different woman every week.[2] But the truth is, I want to love the person I'm with and be loved in return. It's not so much about having sex with me as it is about making love. And for me, there really is a difference.
70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
One thing I do (especially when I can't sleep, which is often) is make potions. I find it relaxing. Other than that, I don't really have many. I've always thought of myself as the magical equivalent of a computer geek--I do magic very well, but I'm not particularly skilled at anything else.
Unless you want to count consuming vast quantities of pizza and Mac's ale. Or getting into trouble. I excel at those.
89. Are you generally organized or messy?Kind of messily organized. It looks like chaos to most people, but I

38. What is your best memory?
Getting Bob's skull back.
41. What is your greatest fear?
That someday I'll give in to the Black and turn evil. Black magic is..seductive. Addictive. It tells you that you really can do anything you want and that no one can stop you. And it's easy. Easier than any other kind of magic. Once you've used it, you never lose the hunger for it. And I have used it. More than once.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
There are a lot of people I respect deeply (even though the Council might not believe it), but the person whom I respect most is Bob. H
74. What, if anything, do you like to read?Hmmm. Most things, really, except for what's generally labeled fantasy fiction. Anything with magic and elves and werewolves in it isn't escapism for me--it's life as I know it. I especially like adventure stories and science fiction. I'm also a fan of graphic novels and

4.Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
I have an older brother. He's a pain in the ass, like me. He's also under the mistaken impression that he's better looking than I am, but we both know that's not possible.
11. What does your voice sound like?
Um. I don't know how to describe it. A tenor, maybe?
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
You mean this week?
Actually, fighting a toad-demon assassin stark naked, ending up on the sidewalks of Chicago--still naked--with a woman who was being violently sick, thanks to some love potion that she took by mistake, being spotted by my magical parole officer and accused of summoning the demon I was fighting--which is a beheading offense, by the way--and then being caught in the spotlight of a squad car and being told to put my hands up, as I was under arrest...
...that would be favorite.
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
The people I always turn to--family and friends. Like you.
I don't know that I have any, really. I know that a plethora of gods and goddesses exist, but that's the point. I know. I don't have any faith in the existence of penguins, the Sears Tower or ice cream, either. But I know that they're real.
That does, however, make it impossible for me to belong to any one religion, even if I were inclined to. I mean, most religions have a clause that involves believing that their way is the only way, and that all other gods are demonic or nonexistent. And I can't accept that. I mean, I know what a demon of the Nevernever looks and acts like. And I already know that other gods exist. So I can't accept that provision, and that's pretty fundamental as far as most religions are concerned.
Which leaves me where I am. Theological Switzerland.
60. How close are you to your family?Um...depends? I was very close to Malcolm Dresden, and I'm very close to my adopted father, Bob. I never knew my mother, and I don't know her that well in the village yet. Justin I was never

I'm in favor of it.
Okay, you probably want more, right?

I also have some understanding about the fantasy fiction.
