Huh, I've seen loads of you around. Yes, I am everywhere. =P

Survey

1. Name: Di

2. Age (no one under 13, please): 18 years, 10 months, 1 week, 5 days...I'll stop now. I'm 18, leave it at that.

3. Location: Puerto Rico (get me off this island that I love yet hate!)

4a. Three positive adjectives to describe yourself: Honest, perceptive, weird

4b. Three negative adjectives to describe yourself: Overly sensitive, stubborn, rebellious

5. If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you go, and why?: Hmm...I think I'd go to NYC. I've only visited, but I'd love to live there for a year to get a feel of the whole city, good and bad. Plus, there are so many people from just about everywhere that'd it be a great experience to just dive into the unknown at a whim. I know I'd get a lot out of it. Second choice would be Chicago for entirely personal reasons I don't wish to write here. =P

6. Explain the significance/meaning/origin of your username: Y'mean my LJ username? Well, if it's this one, it's not all that hard. It's just the names Hikaru and Uchiha jammed together. Hikaru is the username I've been using around the internet for a good two and a half years now, and I got it from the manga Magic Knight Rayearth. I later kept it because I found out it's actually a guy's name in Japan, so I found it fun to confuse people about my actual gender. As for Uchiha, this was when my Naruto fandom was at its peak (still is), and I was scanning around for a surname from that manga that would go well with Hikaru, and that was the only one that seemed to fit. So there ya have it.

7. What's your favourite holiday, and why?: Halloween. I love it because you can dress up and get candy and act as stupid as you want, but it's all forgiven because it's a holiday. I think this year I might dress up even better than last year.

8. Favourite three books (besides Harry Potter): 1984 by George Orwell; The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffeneger; The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.

9. What is or was your favourite and or best subject in school? Both my favorite and my best subject was history. I've always loved history, because there's something entirely cool about learning about the past of not just where you live, but other places too, since the past always has a huge influence on the present. And it was my best because, despite the fact that in high school it was THE hardest subject because of our teachers, I managed to always ace tests with 100s. I don't mean to brag...but it's my one single best achievement during my time in high school. Another favorite subject of mine is Gothic Stories, a class I took last semester in college. Studying gothic literature and its rootes ftw.

10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be? Why don't you write more about what the other Houses are like from those students point of view?

11. Which of the Harry Potter books thus far was your favourite, and why?: Prisoner of Azkaban. I absolutely love it, and I love rereading it. It had Quidditch, the Marauder's Map, Harry's Patronus, Sirius and the fact that Harry still had a relative of sorts, the Firebolt...I could just go on, but, to this day, I still see it as the HP book with the least amount of plotholes, and the book that managed to tie everything in together by the end near perfectly. If only it were a tad longer, but in this case, the length doesn't really matter. ^^

12. If you could have the power to perform one spell, and only one spell, absolutely flawlessly for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? Expelliarmus. It's the most practical and the handiest spell to have, because it lets you disarm your opponent...or just make sure that someone gets their grubby hands off a possession of yours. Granted, you need to be able to catch things well, but I still think this spell is the best in a tight situation.

13. What House do you honestly think you’d end up in, and why?: In complete and total honesty, Gryffindor. On the outside, I might not seem like the most hyperactive or the most brazen, but I'm brave when I need to be, and brave when others need me to be (I've been told this on more than one occasion). I'm also eternally adventerous, and I'm always looking for the next thing, the next challenge, since I can't always do the same thing over and over. I'd get bored, easy. And finally, being weird, I'm an individualist. I refuse to march to the beat everyone else does, and I'd rather do things my own way, and I think that Gryffindors are, essentially, just like this.

14. Are you willing to accept cross-gendered votes/stamps?: Yup. Gender don't matter, I just wanna know who I'm like. =)

15. Anything else we should know?: Ice cream is awesome. Oh, and I've been rated as Seamus elsewhere. Dunno how true this is though, since I don't see the Seamus, but eh, you guys decide.

16. Please post at least three clear pictures of yourself:
