Hell, Secret Wars II sold over 300K issues. Think about THAT. The sales numbers of today would have been cancellation numbers in the early 1980s. Spiderwoman's solo title in 1982 was bimonthly and cancelled...and it sold 100K.
In fact, looking at some of the monthly numbers, some of the secondary spidey titles sold TERRIBLY. In a month where Amazing sold 98K, Peter Parker sold 56K and Tangled Web sold 36K (2001). I know I was only buying one of the Spidey's at the time...the one JMS was doing. Apparently a lot of people were following suit.
