Order Meeting.

The war room is as ready as it will ever be. The maps spread over the walls and across the main table glow with a myriad of tiny lights - signs of enemy activity in the forest, the grounds, and the castle. Careful observation of these tiny magical glowlights reveal the regular patrols prowling the perimeter if the school grounds, never taking the ( Read more... )

Severus has spoken little since arriving at the war room, nodding an acknowledgement to a few, but he raises his voice now, his attention captured wholly by the still figure within the frame.

"Quite clearly, Headmaster. We are all eager to begin." In the periphery of his vision, the glimmering of the foeglass is a distraction and he blocks it out. All the lights will be red soon enough.

One of the earlier members to show up for once, Remus had occupied his time until the meeting began by inspecting the map of Hogwarts in great detail. Despite being one of its creators, he rarely had cause to come to the war room and look at the great map. With all the trips he'd made back to the castle since it was taken, he was probably more often one of those tiny figures crawling around inside it than an observer from afar.

As the room began to fill up with people, he found a seat near the back where he could stand and move around a bit without being in the way if the meeting dragged on as they tended to do. This close to the full moon, he found it more difficult to remain still for long periods than he usually did.

When Albus made his appearance, Remus sat up straighter in his chair and joined the generally affirmative murmuring in answer to the Headmaster's greeting.

Kingsley arrives, seeks out one of the less hard-looking chairs, and sits. There's a nod and a smile for his colleagues, but he hasn't much to say, this time.

"Good evening, Albus. You're coming through loud and clear."

He leans back in his seat, eyes alive as he sizes up the room, its occupants and the table.

Irma settles herself into a seat next to her husband and looks around the room as it fills up with those she knows and cares about. She's spent most of her free time in this room since the end of the current term and is quite comfortable here, but she isn't looking forward to what is to come.

Much too soon the lights on the Weasley boys' ingenious foeglass machine will all be flashing red, and many of the lights on the great map will mark the places of her friends as they risk their lives to fight for everyone's freedom. While she will have to remain behind to watch and wait and worry, without being able to do very much to truly help.

When Albus Dumbledore appears and calls the room to order, she sits up and smiles a determined smile in return.

"Yes, it's good to see you, too, Albus."

Pomona's tired expression brightens as Albus appears.

"I can hear you, Albus," she says, quietly.
