When school begins again, will we be at the castle? I've never seen the castle, though the older kids have told me about it, and they said it was really a lot cooler than the safehouses. I find that a bit hard to believe because the safehouses were pretty neat, but I've always wanted to see a real castle that wasn't all, you know, ruined. So being in the castle could be brilliant. I hear Gryffindor has a whole tower to itself which sounds great.
How nice to hear from you. When school begins again, unfortunately we won't be at the Hogwarts building. There was a lot of damage to the castle, and we are still making it safe. For the moment lessons will continue at the safehouses, and hopefully we will be able to return to the castle sometime next year. Gryffindor does indeed have its own tower, and between you and me, I think its one of the best places in the entire school.
That's okay. I like the safehouses. It's cool living where I can hear the ocean, and it's fun to be able to go back and forth between places. They're all so different with lots of interesting spots to hide outexplore when you're in the mood. I guess a real castle would have lots of neat hiding exploring places, too. I hope that Gryffindor tower wasn't too badly damaged.
Oh, please let Professor Lupin know that it's okay if he can't get his reading list out right away. I won't mind waiting. I imagine that everyone is still really busy with having to rebuild a whole castle and all. Thanks for saving us from the bad guys.
WIZARD EDUCATION AND EXAMINATIONS AUTHORITY From: E. MacMillan (Deputy Assistant Under-Secretary) To: Professor A. Dumbledore
Headmaster,
In the circumstances, it is only understandable, what with so many things going on, and some of the staff still needing medical care, that form WEEA 251b CTDC (Changes to Term Dates - Commencement) has not yer been received by this department. Unfortunately, we do need this form - in triplicate - for our records.
I shall send you one by owl later today, also including several copies of form WEEA 976 part c - ORLY (Official Reading List for Year), which each member of staff should also fill out and return for approval and stamping by this department.
From: Professor A.P.W.B Dumbledore, Order of Merlin (First Class) Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, Headmaster - Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Supreme Mugwump of the International Federation of Wizards. To: E.MacMillan, Deputy Assistant Under-Secretary, WEEA.
Dear Mr. MacMillan,
Thank you for your reminder. I was sure I sent you all the relevent paperwork. I can't imagine how something so important can possibly have slipped my mind. No matter, I will certainly return this to you as soon as I have a moment of free time. I have passed the ORLY forms on to my staff, with instructions to complete and return them at their earliest convenience.
