So last night I was talking with Heather, and I made a statement in which I used the word "stature", and she thought that I should have used the word "status" so she corrected me. I did not argue with her at the moment because it was not important, but there was a voice in the back of my head that was telling me that I did use the word correctly ( Read more... )

OKay. First of all, "stature" WAS a misuse of the word because of it's accepted connotative meaning, thusly refering to a physical presence ie, "Though his stature was small, his heart had dilusions of gradure." It should/is usually only used to imply stauts in a conversation when a person is in direct competition with another, ie, "Though he could pole vault over the couch, his stature was still diminshed when he stood next to his sister."

Second of all, you're kind of an arrogant prick. I'm going to lace your food with arsnic.
