Purely a hypothetical question....

If someone were to say...spill water on a laptop, and the built-in keyboard stops working: Is there any way to fix/replace said keyboard?

/me starts looking for a spare keyboard that uses a usb connection :(

*EDIT* As stated above, this is was a hypothetical question. The keyboard works...and...umm...no water was spilled...of...course...not...

gimme a model number and i can find a replacement keyboard for you, and hopefully some instructions, as keyboards are generally pretty easy to replace..

It's an iBuyPower Battalion 101-S, circa 2006. I believe the laptop itself has a more specific number. Will find it when I get home if Jen doesn't beat me to it.

Looks like the keyboard works again! There must have just been a little moisture inside still...

Anyway, we won't need a replacement (YAY!) But...for future reference, in case I'm retarded again....is the keyboard model number the same as the model number for the laptop? The laptop model number is 258KA5, and that's the only number we can find.

We do have like 5 keyboards. Just look for a PS/2 to USB adapter.
