Damn O_O This is just... it makes me shiver and squirm because it's so terrifying and atmospheric and my god...

Actually, it really does make me think a lot of some of the paintings that you've mentioned before. It would make an incredible visual image.

I am really a very visual person! Which is why paintings and sculpture appeal to me so much. I usually begin writing things as images, and then work outward from there. And this is--well, there are so many great pantings of drowned people. The Romantics totally dug it, at least.

Holy. I can't remember the right word to describe this. Creepy isn't enough; there's a certain romantic air to it, a certain noble, tragic, poignant air amidst everything. It's haunting. I love how you use words.

For something so short, there's a lot of suspense, or- build, maybe, is the more appropriate word. And then that last sentence. Wowww.

That is a fantastic piece of microfiction. The visuals are amazing. If it were in a book, I'd probably cry into it cuz I'm lame like that because of how strong the imagery and story is, even though it's so short.
