I LOVE bike riding..I have been going out every night about 6:30pm. Your right, a person can see almost everything in nature. Seems like when your in a vehicle ya zoom by everything an don't notice things.

I love looking at ppl's yards. The way other ppl decorate the yards with differnt plants, certain ways ppl cut there grass, directions you can see when its first cut..although I haven't went in the last 3 days..I did something to my knee..not sure what soo I been babying my leg the last 3 days..but I am itching to get out there.

I would rather go at 11 or 12pm..no traffic..its calm..but I wouldn't go alone at that time of night..anywho..love that pic of the park..*S*

During my life I have taken some VERY LONG trips on a bike and there's nothing like it. It just gets you so close to nature and I think it also strengthens our spirt. It's just good for the soul.

Riding at night (With a light) is another special kind of ride. I've done it before but it was a long time ago. Hearing the crickets in the midnight calm is a treat.

Hope your knee gets better. =O(

Take care. =O)

I have went on some very LONG bike rides too..a few years back I rode to Chatham which is another city from me..its about 20 miles away, rode around the city..then had to come back. the wind changed, going was not bad at all but comming back..OMG I had to face it. I didn't think I would make it, but I did.

I am like you though I love the nature an seeing an hearing it.

If you're interested, I rode in the MS150 in 1999 and my rather long story is here: http://www.lovestories.com/article.php?sid=9670

In the past I've taken bike rides from Syracuse, NY (Where I used to live) to Niagra Falls and to NYC. I had some of the greatest times of my life on those rides. =O)
