Paris, les impressions premieres

After a week in Lausanne, i took a TGV Lyria with Chris to Paris last night. My first impressions of Paris were that it's basically like New York, but older, dirtier, and more crowded. The thing is, our train came in around 5:00 on the dot to the busiest train station in the city, Gare de Lyon, and schlepping two weeks worth of luggage around on

Question for Chris: Do they assign you your official pulled-together-Parisian-woman scarf when you arrive in Paris, or do you have to come up with it yourself?

I too came here to say that Chris could hardly look more French without dressing up as a mime.

I dunno if it's ennui. It looks more like a "contemplating the proof theory of linear logic" expression to me. Though of course that's also a very French activity...!

That picture has just way too much dessert. I guess that's why Chris felt she could safely look away -- you couldn't possibly sneak it all away.
