I've seen this happen on the art communities I'm part of far too often, so I'm going to make a preemptive strike.
1. Can I post my doujinshi/comic?
Yes! Just because it has words doesn't mean it's not fanart. I personally love comics.
On that note, please don't post scans/translations of published doujinshi you own or have found, especially those by established doujinshi circles. The whole point is that I want to see art from you guys, the fandom.
2. Can I post looking for help on artwork?
Yes. Not all art here has to be finished. If you need help with a certain pose, are looking for reference images, or just generally want advice, we'll be glad to try to help. I'd like this to be a real community of artists, with emphasis on art and interaction.
3. Can I post fanfiction?
Generally, no. That's what wk_fiction is for. However, if your art is inspired by a certain fic, you are welcome to (and expected to) link to that fic in your post. Also, I welcome illustrated fics and fic-art collaborations.
4. Can I post icons?
This one's just going to be a flat-out no. I know a lot of time and creative energy can go into creating an icon, but that's just not what I'm looking for here. That's why you need to saunter on over to wk_icons.
5. Can I pimp my community?
Nope. If your community is WK-related, however, you are more than welcome to become an affiliate. Contact me personally and I'll put your community link under the "Affiliates" section in the userinfo.
6. Can I pimp my e-bay auctions/stuff I'm selling?
Again, generally no. However, posts like, "Here is a cover/a few pages of a doujinshi I've drawn (posted in proper format, of course), the whole thing is on sale here" are acceptable. You might want to check out copyright laws in your area, though.
7. Can I have your modly babies?
No. Babies are gross.
