So many options! Okay, so I wanted Stiles to swap with one of the werewolves, to get a ~taste~ of being a werewolf, so to speak, and so I tossed around the options of Isaac and Erica and Scott, and I think any of those could be more or less equally interesting, though Scott's probably the most plausible in terms of he and Stiles getting into shenanigans and somehow bodyswapping. That said--

Stiles doesn't know what happened.

He really, genuinely, does not know what happened. He's got the details sketched out: he bumped into Erica going to the swimming pool, she was acting suspicious so he followed her, she dumped a fish--a very sparkly fish--into the swimming pool, the fish thanked her for her kindness and said it would grant her one wish

At least this was the last class of the day. Stiles reminded himself of that at least once every five minutes until chemistry was over. Because there was Mr. Harris, and there was the dude across the room wearing way too much Axe and trying to land crumpled pieces of paper in Stiles' cleavage, and things were just generally shitty. When he got out, Erica was there waiting for him, leaning against a locker. Stiles was pretty sure he never leaned against lockers like that

...writing this made me want crack!fic where Stiles is secretly a NeverNude, because half the premise of this bodyswap in my head is that Stiles is like, "Erica, that's my undershirt, that's the shirt I wear under my shirt, why are you wearing it like regular clothes?" pretty much 100% of the time. And Erica is like, "Um, I'm pretty sure this is just a regular t-shirt that actually fits you, unlike everything else you wear

Derek's heard of this happening. It has to do with the Santa Anas and concentrations of electrons in the air, and also fairies.

Mostly fairies.

So he's heard of this happening, but it still takes him a little bit to work out what's happening, probably because it starts in the middle of the night.

He has two dreams, one on top of the others. It's weird, but it's a dream, so he doesn't think much of it until he wakes up, because he wakes up to an alarm, or to the thought of an alarm, sort of frantic, without an alarm, and then a warm wash of relief when someone turns it off.

Derek doesn't have an alarm. He doesn't have extremely frenetic thoughts about video games, either, so when his head is suddenly full of those, and then intense concern for his father, he realizes what's happening.

THINK QUIETER STILES, he projects as hard as he can, hoping that it will make it all the way across town, since apparently Stiles' thoughts do. Derek can't imagine how loud he would be if he was nearby. It figures--it's Stiles

Perhaps this is out there and not in the original prompt but could you do Inception characters in a Veronica Mars AU?
Perhaps Mal as Lily who is haplessly murdered too early and occasionally comes and haunts her old friends. I'd love it if you had Arthur as Veronica, angry and unable to let go until he finds out who killed Mal his best friend.

Oh wow thank you so much for writing this!!

I do see a lot of parallels between Duncan and Cobb! Also Ariadne as Wallace is perfect! Hm I would actually see Yusuf as Mac, the go to tech guy.

Maybe Mal and Eames were BFFs instead of Fisher so Eames in Logan's role or maybe even in Weevil's role although neither are a perfect fit.

Ah Troy- Veronica's often forgotten bf. I thought they had great chemistry together and was sorry to see him go so early on in the series. (Of course Logan and Veronica were fantastic together but Tory and Veronica had such an interesting dynamic.)
