voting points

Just to let you know that after some discussion with all of the team leaders and mods, a points system has been decided and so I have now changed the points for voting on the fanvid challenge to 10.

Thanks a lot! Cause I spent way more time watching and voting on those vids than I have voting for any other challenge. :)

10 seems a little ridiculous but I guess if it gets more people to vote, it's a good thing?

well the standard will be 5 - most challenges will award 5 points for voting. But for slightly longer/harder voting, it will be 10 points. And for easier voting it will be 2.

i think this is weird. i personally find it way more difficult and time-consuming to read and vote on all the writing challenges. but i guess most people probably don't read all those either.

I agree that the writing challenges voting should at least be equal to the fanvid voting. Both require a lot of time.

well, they were equal, but now people have been complaining about the vid voting, which is the part i don't understand. i'm not saying that the fic voting points should be upped too, i'm saying that the point system was fine before.

Well, I'm pretty new to the games so I wasn't aware of the points system before. But I think 2 points is not enough for the time it takes to read a lot of fic and to watch a ton of videos. So, IMO, 10 points is a better match for both. Plus, it seems like it would make people feel a little guilty if they didn't watch/read them all for 10 points more than for 2. But it's JMO.
