I got up at 7:30, farted around, hung out with Jason and JLynn, drank coffee, read stuff, posted to LJ, made breakfast, ate breakfast, sorted socks, took a shower, rode my bicycle to Brattleboro, had lunch at the Mole's Eye, got a call from Jonah that Max had just purchased the contents of a small office building and so I should come see if there ( Read more... ) -
Dirt in the driveway!
I went to Terrance P. Qualters and got a load full of (wet) sand and gravel... he filled it up so that it was mounded above the sides in the middle... and my truck was on the bump stops on both sides all the way home (only 2 miles, luckily), and it made lots of evil creaking noises. Can I take a minute to talk about how totally fabulous ZZ Top's first two albums are? God Damn. I've been listening to almost nothing but that for almost two weeks now, I think (maybe longer). I mean, their third and fourth albums are decent, but the first two... I love EVERY song on them. How could I have not known about them before ( Read more... ) -

Ow.
I slipped and fell while jumping out of a hayloft into the back of a truck today and landed with the bottom part of my ribcage squarely across a closed tailgate with most of the inertia of a jump from six or so feet up intact. It hurt. A lot. I almost vomited, couldn't breathe very well, and had trouble talking for quite awhile ( Read more... ) -

Been bicycling twice now this season. First time to Bratt and back and tonight just around a small 4-mile loop but at least it's something. If I do this every day possible (most days now that the time change is in effect! I love it!!) perhaps I'll start to approach the level of fitness I had in High School. I love my recording studio...
Julie and Craig (or just Julie? it wasn't clear) gave me some fun little "toy" instruments for my birthday (holy crap did that b-day party rock), and one of them was a Jaw Harp, which I always called a Jew's Harp, but maybe that's somehow offensive and/or incorrect - not sure, but anyway, they're wicked cool and I recorded a fun little jam last ( Read more... )
