My friend had me read an entry she had posted here on live journal, and I thought I'd reply to what she said. Although I do believe in God, I don't fall into that stereotypical Christian (more specifically, Catholic) who thinks that if you don't go to church every Sunday you're going to hell, or that if you don't believ at all that you have no soul ( Read more... )

and im totally with you on the fact that both sides have to accept that they might be wrong. i know i could be wrong. but as of now, since i dont know much more on the subject, i'll stick to the belief i have now.

Although I believe in what you are saying, I don't think this quote really..erm..means anything. America is a very diverse country, and there are many different religions interwined within every state. To favor Christianity over any other religion in school or government would be prejudice. That is why we advocate the separation of chuch and state. (Although it is plain to see that Christianity has smuggled its way into politics) America is one of the most religious countries in the world, so it has nothing to do with pushing God away.

Second random thought:
If God created everything and everyone, why would He create humans? Humans are the most flawed creatures I've ever seen. Why would He make such a terrible, terrible mistake?

wow, this is a great first blog blog! i agree w/ pretty much everything(but i also agree w/ jessica's comment)
it's not bad that you believe, it's not bad that i don't believe, and either of us can be right or wrong.
i guess we'll find out eventually
