I realize that this is going to invite lots of comments and torment from 62 and probably boog0r for pointing this out, but in a sadistic way I like the attention, so here goes...

I was coming up Rte 1 North last night, right after getting off the Tobin, and I see this huge billboard: http://www.adcouncil.org/pdf/Cinderella_OOH.pdf. If you can't open it ( Read more... )

It says "children" can sit in the front seat . . . it doesn't say anything about adults. It does sound like you'd be safer in the back seat, so maybe you ought to consider that.

But I'm confused, after that message, about WHO DOES need a booster seat? Is it just for children in the front seat who are over 12 but less than 4'9"? Or is it for everyone who's shorter than 4'9" whereever they are in the car?

And how does a booster seat make you safer if you're not the one driving the car? I mean, isn't the point of a booster seat so you can be taller and see out the front window?

Gotta love that MA "protect protect protect" logic. I think it might be the safety capital of the country. I'm surprised they didn't advise you not to ride in cars, because that does, after all, increase your odds of being in an accident. Yes, the safest thing would be to sit in your booster seat OUTSIDE of the car. You should do that.
