Update: Yeah, it was kidney stones. He did ok once they hooked him up with some morphine, and some prescriptions for percoset and heavy-duty ibuprofen. I wonder if they are still going to do his hernia surgery on Friday, or wait until the stones pass.

Glad to hear that it was nothing more serious, although I'm still sad that he's in such pain.
