1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
Actually enjoyed a year of uni.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I remembered to make any.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
We were not that close, but it was horribly sad.
5. What countries did you visit?
None, sadly.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
I think I'm ready to try a relationship again. And maybe some more money.
7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I don't know, really. My birthday was funny. Halloween was pretty sweet. New Years Eve was one of the best ever.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Ending my relationship with Dan once and for all.
9. What was your biggest failure?
A lot of things.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
...All my drinks at the uni pub. :P
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
I can't think of anyone.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I could probably count at least five or six.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Drinking! I love you, uni pub.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Every time I got to go out and do something fun. I'm easily excited.
16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
Meet me Halfway, by the Black Eyed Peas. Everything by Robots in Disguise and IAMX.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: (a) happier or sadder? (b) thinner or fatter? (c) richer or poorer? the same (maybe a bit happier), thinner, about the same.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of? Seeing my friends.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of? Slutting around.
20. How did you spend Christmas? With Anna and Kat at grandmas, then going to Woodford to set up.
21. Did you fall in love in 2009? Almost, but no.
22. What was your favorite TV program? How I Met Your Mother!
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? Yeah, a couple.
24. What was the best book you read? The Forsyte Saga, by John Galsworthy.
25. What was your greatest musical discovery? IAMX and Robots in Disguise.
26. What did you want and get? To go to Woodford.
27. What did you want and not get? A new relationship that doesn’t mysteriously end after a short time.
28. What was your favorite film of this year? I never go to the movies, and I can’t even think of any that came out last year. Oh, I guess The Reader was good.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was 24, and I had some people over and got completely wasted and then slept for the next 24 hours.
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? More money, more travel, someone to maintain interest in me for more than a month.
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009? My love of The Robots and IAMX convinced me to be kind of electro this year, when I could be bothered putting any kind of effort in.
32. What kept you sane? I don’t know that I can exactly say I was sane, but the uni pub was a great relaxation tool.
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Noel Fielding for the first half the year and Chris Corner for the second, but SUE DENIM ALWAYS AND FOREVER.
34. What political issue stirred you the most? I didn’t think about much this year. Maybe I’ve grown too selfish.
35. Who did you miss? Dan, embarrassingly enough. Twitch. Leo. All those that have slipped away from me.
36. Who was the best new person you met? I would have answered this differently at different times in the year. Uni pub people some most likely to maintain my favour.
37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009.
You don’t need to be with someone in order to be happy, but you’ll probably end up having a lot more one night stands when you aren’t.
