Yay!!!! Carly Patterson won the gold!!!! for all-around, I was so happy for her I almost cried. Totally felt bad for the tall, skinny Russian girl who was 2nd--I remember seeing her last Olympics and she got silver again. Oh well, yay, USA!

Did you see the men's all-around last night when Hamm dropped from 1st to 12th (after falling so hard that was stopped by one of the judges!) and then - in the final aparatus - he pulled off a near perfect routine to win gold.

Talk about suspense!

After Hamm one gold, they switched to the camera on the South Korean that was in 1st: he just crouched down and buried his face in his hands. Quite sad since he had lost by 12 thousandths of a point.

actually, Svetlana Khorkina won bronze in 2000 :) But yay USA for sure! I teared up when Carly put her hand over her heart during the National Anthem, that was so cute!!

Paul Hamm's win was the greatest comeback in history. I don't know if you guys realize it, but that stuff does not happen. EVER!!!

Svetlana Khorkina is a wretched bulemic woman, searching for attention and affirmation. She is sending the wrong message to little girls everywhere. Do not feel sorry for her; tell her to go and eat.

But all in all, it was a good round for USA. I hope that Carly Patterson is happy with her gold medal, but I also hope that she retires at the top, or goes the college route. I wish her the best, and I pray that she hasn't peaked at 16.

...and I'm out like Yang Wei under pressure.

I do like a fully adult lady that sticks her tongue out at the camera though, that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Khorkina is quite a bitch, did you see the little interview they had with her? All she talked about was how she deserved the gold medal and how she came to get what was hers. She like never smiles, and her mouth is freakishly small!

I'm not a gymnastics civilian!!
