I supported the local economy today by purchasing a book at Copperfields instead of online at Barnes & Nobles like I usually do. yes, I applaud myself too. Well, Stirrat was just so convincing that I couldn't help it

only the specially labeled expensive starbucks coffee is free trade. go to their site and check it out. your frapps...probably not free trade.
i am sorry i started that rumor. but it is true that deaf dog is not free trade. at all. which is a shame, because then it would completely succeed in its mission to exploit the liberal bomb thrower market in petaluma. currently, they have small reservations that aren't yet large enough to stop their search for a place to ease the pain of their helpless addiction. fortunately, i've found a solution.
Buy whatever you want without thinking of the local economy. No matter what the local economy is going to be here and in a stable state - unless some catastrophic event, like a large meteor, or the complete dissolution of the United States and annihilation of all things that even relate to the United States.
Actually, paying attention to anything but the quality and price of the things you buy is probably more trouble than it's worth.
"unless some catastrophic event, like a large meteor, or the complete dissolution of the United States and annihilation of all things that even relate to the United States.".... sounds optomistic...
starbucks vs. deaf dog... what about the coffee bean? pete's coffee and tea? it's a grind... jamba juice... foldgers... maxwell house... whatever. the cool thing about starbucks is that they'll provide health insurance to any of their empolyees that work over 20 hours, open scholarships, and give to the community. plus, have you ever gotten a chai latte with breave and vanilla? mmm so good. high in fat? oh yeah... but so worth the extra three laps around the track.
Oh jordan... despite how you make me laugh, using Chai lattes as an advocation for Starbucks is not exactly the best way to go, since Deaf Dog chais are immeasurably better. Honestly, try one. I bet you haven't!
