Because some people need more love in their lives. Or maybe they've been loved in the wrong way. I don't know... What matters is that at least you yourself know that something's wrong with what they're doing :/ ♥
Oh, lord, I just saw that post. :| You know, I'm not an Eunhyuk fan by an means, but the comments in there are all cheap shots instead of, y'know, actual, genuine objections. And some of the people who are sitting there going, "well, he's sexist!!!!!" are the same people who turn around and bash on female idols for little more than being both female and successful. Then again, I have lj notes reminding me to avoid 90% of the community members for this very reason, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised. There are so many trolls in there, it's hard to keep track of them all.
Still, I'm sorry, bb. :( Malicious comments about an idol suck on their own, but they way Eunhyuk fans were being attacked and mocked was in no way called for.
Oh, also, I completely agree with you on the Being Human. There will always be something an idol's done or said that is just plain wrong (Sungmin's 'I will throw up on my hypothetical friend's face if he ever confesses to me' anyone? Siwon's 'I choose not to acknowledge homosexuality'? Gikwang's blackface?) Being an idol doesn't make someone any more likely to be a decent person than being a policeman does. But, just like it's possible to acknowledge a friend or family member's faults and still care about them, one can know that an idol has problematic, wrongheaded ideas, and still follow them.
Eunhyuk's humanness is one of the reasons why many of us admire him so much. He has a gazillion faults but he acknowledges them and works around it. I strongly believe all the idols these idiots love and adore in comparison most likely share the same views, they're just fortunate enough to never be in situations wherein they can be honest and won't be fed words by their publicists. BUT WHATEVER, EUNHYUK IS SEXIST AND IT IS FACT!!!1 What a load of baloney.
Yes, you make valid points! The thing is that they seem to hate on him for the hell of it. They take every opportunity to make him out as this horrible person when all he is is just like everyone else. Yes, he is a public figure and yes, he should watch what he says, but really? There are some things people can't measure before they actually say it out, and some things you just didn't think about (ie, Zhou Mi's Happy Earthquake statement). Saying the wrong things doesn't mean that there isn't room for change or growth or learning from those ideas though! As long as people are willing to acknowledge that they don't have all the answers, and have an open mind towards different ways of doing things, why should one person be forever defined as that one statement they might've made years ago? When I was younger, I once thought that if I ever had a husband, I'd make him take care of our kids AND work, while I would sit at home and play games. (hahaha.) Should I be forever defined by that belief, even after my views have changed

I'm still seething up to now from the idiotic comments on that post. Where the heck are the mods there? The title was not related to the article, plus it had bad grammar too. And the ridiculous comments about us 'stans' who, by right, were asking PROPERLY to just, you know, go in detail on WHY they're so adamant on calling him a sexist based on a TRANSCRIBED VIDEO. When, in fact, he called back what he said and explained that he's still young and needs to learn more about the real world in the SAME transcript! He basically admitted he was ignorant and that his opinion is open to changing

I don't know what those trolls/wankers backgrounds are and what they do irl that would lead them to relieving stress hating on celebs online, but thinking back on it, the best thing we can do is leave them to whatever the heck they want to do and not feed their need for conflict :/ I'm so sorry that you had to deal with them directly T___T
thank you for this post. :DDDD honestly, omona is a cesspit. i love hyukjae to bits, but i'm not a huge stan on gem's level by any means, and i REALLY don't see how it's acceptable to insult and wank on him for something that happened SO LONG AGO and which is honestly common in asian culture. hyukjae didn't say "yeah i think all women ought to not work and be chained to the kitchen and allow me to beat them whenever i want", he said "i want to be able to take care of my wife". WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT

It's like they think that being a housewife or a stay-at-home mom is... beneath them. As if no one would ever choose that career path (and honestly, it is a career, too). Does it make a woman any less if she chose to do that
