There is a moment, small and terribly public, that flares in your heart.
It comes when you feel the lights burning your skin; the stadium fills with screams and the wild heat of fans' ardor.
Many are for you, you know. You believe it in each and every lightboard, every sign, every person that reaches for your touch.
So easy, so easy to cry the tears of joy that threaten, but instead, you smile, because it's just as easy.
You know that you are loved to the point of obsession and you don't know what you've done to deserve it, but you make it a point, an absolute requirement, to never prove yourself undeserving. This is your smile.
Appreciate it, you do, you do, but never so much as this moment.
This moment, entirely small, terribly public.
