This may be an unusual comment. Thank you for warning for barebacking. Frankly, I haven't decided whether I will read the story. I'm a Gay man just of an age that I remember having to go through my contact lists almost every month to remove the people who had died of AIDS. And lest people think it's all over with the advent of treatment drugs, I had a close friend die last year because the meds stopped working. I recently encountered two stories that not only included barebacking but even glorified it in group sex settings with sexual activities where HIV transmission is most likely. AND THEY DIDN'T WARN FOR IT in either case. So even if I don't read your story and not knowing its context, thank you for the warning.

Oh wow, thank you for your comment, unusual or not, it's much appreciated :)

The main reason why I warn for bareback is because I understand that, as you've pointed out, it is generally not a safe practice of sex and not an act to be taken lightly. It's a big leap of trust and, I imagine, why it seems to be such a popular pivotal point of relationships portrayed in get-together fics. Throughout this fic, it is heavily implied (or I attempt to imply, anyway) that Arthur and Merlin are monogamous and fully in each others' confidence, but I personally find it's just better to be safe when warning, just because there are so many people with so many different sorts of triggers, it's hard to say what would be an optional tag.

That said, I'm sorry you've gone into other fic without these expected courtesies present and I'm glad that even if you don't read this fic in particular, you've taken the time to let me know something is valued here!
