i worked in a call center taking incoming calls for customers redeeming membership points. one guy i talked to had such a thick southern accent i had a difficult time understanding him. and he had to keep asking me to repeat myself 'on account of MY accent'!

I'll gladly take incomprehensible accents over the ones that wait for you to pick up the phone and then either put a recorded message on or just hang up on you without giving you a chance to talk to a real person. After all, if you don't get to talk to a real person, how are you supposed to tell them "I don't care which loophole in the Do Not Call Registry you crawled through, I'm on it because I don't want your calls. So go away and don't call me again."?
