Another Reason Why I Hate Sci-Fi Channel (Thank Goodness For Youtube)
Don't think Unicorn and the Wasp would be a spoiler not, but just to be sure!
The opening scene, after the credits. On Sci-Fi it starts with D/D walking into the party. In the real version, it starts with the Doctor outside the TARDIS, banging on the door, yelling that they're going to be late for cocktails. Then Donna steps out in that 1920s outfit and says "What do you think, flapper or slapper" and he says "Definitely flapper, you look lovely" and offers her his arm while she swings her beaded purse around.
It's maybe 15 seconds worth of scene, but it says something sweet---I adore that while she's probably considered the least attractive of the companions (by our culture's youth and skinny standards) she seems to get the most compliments (or at least a lot more than Martha got).
I hate that the best moments of DW are getting chopped so that SF can sell more Blowflex machines, etc. And I can't wait for the DVDs, which I hope will be out by Christmas.
And I love the new icon I grabbed for this entry. That's probably how they would feel about my 'epic adventure' writing too....
